Berkshire

Berkshire has one of the highest rates of threats to ancient woodland in England.

Sadly Berkshire’s ancient woods have come under high levels of threat in the last 10 years; 14 have been threatened by development, resulting in three precious ancient woods lost or damaged.

On the plus side, Berkshire should be celebrating its 16% woodland cover, which is higher than the 10% national average.
