Woodland Trust talks for groups

Bring the outdoors in with a Woodland Trust talk

If you need a speaker for your group, club or society then book a Woodland Trust talk

We offer talks for all kinds of groups including gardening groups, women's groups, environmental groups and many more.

Our volunteer speakers will reveal fascinating facts about woods and trees and take you and your group on a visual journey through UK woodland.

Did you know:
  • Old oak trees are home to over 400 types of invertebrate
  • A 1000 year old Yew tree is maturing, but a 50 year old silver birch is ancient
  • Broadleaved woodland supports nearly twice as many rare and threatened species as any other habitat

Talks last 40 - 45 minutes and groups can ask questions afterwards.

Talks cover:

The Woodland Trust who we are and the work we do

The importance of creating new native woodland for people and wildlife

The urgent need to protect the UK’s ancient woodland – our equivalent of the rainforest

Speakers will bring leaflets for group members to take away.

What do I need to provide?
Just a keen audience and a venue with a screen or light coloured wall to project the presentation onto.

    Cost
The talks are free, but we are grateful for donations to our work.

You will need to pay speaker travel expenses.
