Young Roots project

In May 2008 5 West Lothian Schools were asked to explore where their attitudes to woodland come from, think about their local woodland and make a film which focuses on  the positive aspects of their natural heritage.

Where do our attitudes to woodland comes from?

What influences the way we think, feel and interact with our local green spaces?

These were the questions we put to 60 young people from the secondary schools and the following 5 films they produced show how they responded.

"Using film is a really great way to express your views. This film project has given teenagers in the area a unique opportunity to learn about their local environment."
