Background


Direct Marketing is a key part of the Woodland Trust's supporter income generation. Membership in particular is a fundamental driver of our unrestricted income and  a key success criteria for the WT. Door to Door and Face to Face (Venue) Recruitment are our most successful  new member acquisition channels in terms of both numbers and ROI. Reporting to  the Senior Direct Marketing Executive (D2D/F2F) the purpose of the role is to support the SDM Executive in maximising & monitoring the effectiveness of these channels, to provide day to day administrative support as well as to field queries/requests from other WT teams and external suppliers and recruiters. 

 

Duties:

  • Working with supporter services and IS teams, co-ordinate the data entry of recruitment forms and download of data from fundraising agencies.
  • Reporting, monitoring and circulation of results from all face to face recruitment
  • Acting as main contact point for requests and queries from fundraisers and liaison between them and supporter services team
  • Working with supporter care team to respond to complaints made by the public
  • Maintaining and circulating details of when and where agencies and  indvidual recruiters are working
  • Maintaining, developing and coordinating the distribution of  display material for venue recruitment
  • Copywriting, briefing design and organising print & distribution of literature and forms for door to door fundraisers
  • Assisting in the development and  implementation of  training programmes for agencies and individual recruiters
  • Co-ordinating requests from other teams within the Trust for fundraisers to attend events with which we are involved.
  • Assisting the Senior DM Executive (D2D/F2F) to develop retention and development programmes for those recruited from face to face contact.

Experience Required:

  • Educated to degree level in an appropriate subject area.

 

Knowledge of some of the following would be an advantage:

  • Marketing practice in general

Qualities Required:

  • A desire to develop a career in charity fundraising
  • Enthusiastic and out going
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of numeracy and analytical skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
