We aim to engage and inspire people about woods and trees to help us meet our vision of creating, restoring and protecting woodland. We own and care for over 1,000 woodland sites across the United Kingdom and support the creation and management of woodland on others’ land.
Departments across the Trust are placing an increasing emphasis on Digital to support the delivery of their objectives, so detailed and professional management of projects is paramount if we are to meet their needs. We have revamped our digital team which manages the Trust’s digital presence and engagement with members, supporters, our target audience groups and the wider public.
You would contribute to delivery of the Trust’s aims through best practice in digital communications and online user experience and act as the coordinator of the Trust’s digital content and digital engagement activities including the Trust's social media presence, ensuring they work as a coherent whole in terms of communications effectiveness, and editorial and visual identity standards.
Some of the responsibilities will include digital comms and content planning, CMS Training on site SEO, managing the workflow and publishing of content to live, coordinating the activities of digital content producers and guiding in terms of best practice. You would also need to maintain an up-to-date, audience focused presence on the internet for the Woodland Trust, appropriately reflecting our case for support.
Experience or knowledge of HTML and CSS would be an advantage, along with knowledge in using Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop. A good understanding of web information architecture and Social Media would be a great advantage.
