Can I take a picnic or BBQ to a Trust wood?

Can I picnic in a Trust wood?

As our woods are managed primarily for conservation benefit, we don't have any facilities for picnicking, such as tables and bins.  Visitors to our woods are asked to dispose of any rubbish or food waste responsibly.

Can I have a BBQ in a Trust wood?

Our woods do not have BBQ facilities, and fires of any kind are prohibited in our woods.  If you wish to have a BBQ in a wood, please visit the Forestry Commission's website at www.forestry.gov.uk, as they do permit BBQs at some designated sites.

If you see a fire in a Trust wood, please contact the Police and Fire Services with details of the emergency.
