How do I get involved in recording seasonal signs for Nature Detectives or Nature’s Calendar?
The UK Phenology Network was launched by the Trust and the Centre for Hydrology and Ecology in 2000, and involves almost 50,000 people in recording signs of spring and autumn. Since 2005, the UKPN and the BBC have been conducting the biggest phenology surveys in the UK, through Springwatch and Autumnwatch.
These records will help scientists demonstrate how climate change is affecting our habitats.
Recording the seasons on the Nature's Calendar website is simple. Further information about registering can be found at: www.naturescalendar.org.uk
Children can also take part in Nature's Calendar, and they can register through the link above to record signs of seasonal change.
