Ancient Tree Hunt

How can I get involved in recording trees for the Ancient Tree Hunt?

The Ancient Tree Hunt is a UK wide project, aiming to involve thousands of people in recording ancient trees.

This is an online survey, where people can record as much information as they like about their discovery, including the tree's location, girth measurement, pictures of the tree or trees and even write a blog about their discoveries.  One of our team of volunteers will then come and check and verify the information.

There is more information about new discoveries on the website, including an interactive map and database of all the trees discovered so far.

If you would like to take part in recording trees, you may like to register your own discovery on our Ancient Tree Hunt website.

Younger children might like to help find our ancient trees with the help of Rupert Bear. Rupert Bear's Ancient Tree Hunt is aimed at encouraging children to take an interest in nature.
