The new year is now well under way and, as our first quarterly board meeting took place this March, we thought it would be best to provide a quick update.

Help us save Loch Arkaig
This month the Loch Arkaig appeal has gone live as we seek to raise an initial £500,000 in order to purchase and restore this precious piece of Caledonian pinewoods. Find out more about the wildlife, including ospreys and wildcats, as well as a hidden history of this unique landscape and please help us to save Loch Arkaig.
How we spend your money
Our annual accounts have been compiled and this year we're delighted to announce an income of £37.5 million. So thanks to all our supporters for their help and generosity. We strive to spend every penny carefully and are proud to say that at least 79p from every £1 goes towards helping our work as a charity. Find out more about how we spend your money.
More woods across the UK
We also spoke about seeking to expand our estate of woodlands. From the just over 1,000 woods we currently own and manage, we hope to grow by more than 30% woods over the next 10 years. So in the future we hope to make it much easier to find a wood near you wherever you may live in the UK.
And last but not least, we're excited to announce that we're seeking three new Trustees with particular experience in Land Management and Communications. If you or anyone you know is interested in our Trustee opportunities, please get in touch by 3 May.
Our next board meeting takes place in May so check back for another video update where we hope to give you much more good news as well updates as the year progresses.
